Must Read

Vadilal Industries, India’s second biggest ice-cream manufacturer, has ranked number one as the country’s most trusted ice-cream brand for the second time in a row according to the Brand Trust Report – 2014, a pan-India study done by Trust Research Advisory. Kwality Walls ranked second in the list of top ice-cream brands. The study, conducted among 2,500 ‘influencer’ respondents across 16 cities, generated nearly 3 million data-points and 19,000 brands.

Commenting on the results, Rajesh Gandhi, MD, Vadilal Industries, said:  “To be ranked as the No. 1 ice cream brand is a great booster for Vadilal, the oldest and indigenous ice-cream brands of India. Started in a small shop in the old city area of Ahmedabad in 1926, we have diligently worked our way to the second biggest ice cream player in India. Including powerful brand identity, consistent quality, affable prices, timely supply and extensive reach have been our strongest points to maintain a leadership position.”

Vadilal claims to have the largest range of ice creams in the country with 150 plus flavours sold in a variety of more than 300 packs and forms. The range includes cones, candies, bars, ice-lollies, small cups, big cups, family packs, and economy packs.

According to the company officials, with a current turnover of over Rs 550 crore, Vadilal’s aim is to become an Indian multinational in ice creams and frozen foods.
