Speciality home interior solutions chain Evok has opened its first store in Ahmedabad, Gujarat at Zodiac Square. This is the company’s 18th mega format store in the country and third this calendar year after the two outlets in Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore; and Malad, Mumbai. Spread over 10,000 sq.ft., the store stocks solid wood furniture, modular kitchens, modular wardrobes, home decor and home furnishing items.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Seth, COO & Business Head, EVOK, said:“We have chartered an aggressive plan to optimise the potential Western Market. Expanding the number of our stores is one area we are concentrating to bring our consumers, products and designs that will match their taste, expectation as well as meet their required necessities. By the fiscal year 2014-15, we are targeting an INR 200 cr turnover and are in the process to enhance our presence from 18 stores now to nearly 35. Evok is a premium and modern brand and apart from mega format stores, we have introduced a franchise model opportunity specific to modular kitchens and wardrobes, which will also play a significant role in Evok’s growth strategy ahead. We are hoping to open another in Western India by the end of FY 13-14.”
Launched in 2008, Evok is a brand of Hindware Home Retail Private Ltd (HHRPL), a 100 percent subsidiary of HSIL Limited. Evok stores offer over 20,000 stock keeping units in categories such as furniture, furnishings, bath products, modular kitchens, modular wardrobe, entertainment units, flooring, lighting and lifestyle home accessories.
