International Belgium chocolate brand Ducd’O has forayed into the Indian market by signing a distribution and marketing contract for the country with Cosmo Fine Foods. Ducd’O will be available in modern retail stores and in travel retail outlets located in major airports of the country.
Commenting on this Eddy Walraevens, CEO, Ducd’O, said: “Ducd’O targets sophisticated chocolate consumers that are aware of the superior chocolate taste of Belgium chocolate. We would be keen to educate consumers on the delectable taste of our Belgium truffles and pralines. Our global reputation of creamy, taste chocolates in combination with our successes in China, Malaysia and the Middle –East gives us confidence we can seduce the Indian consumer as well.”
Ducd’O Chocolaterie claims to have been Belgium’s main producers and exporters since the past 25 year and now wants to tap the growing premium luxury chocolate market in India with flaked truffles, mini pralines, pralines, and liquor crates ranging from Rs 525 to Rs 995.
