Neptune Magnet Mall, Bhandup, Organises ‘Amazing India’ Carnival

Neptune Magnet Mall, Bhandup, is organising an “Amazing India” carnival, which started on June 14 and would conclude on August 17.

The carnival will offer an opportunity to purchase items like jamdani’s of Uttar Pradesh, pherans of Kashmir, Kanjeevaram and Mysore Silk sarees, experience dance forms of different states such as Yakshagana of Karnataka, Bihu Dance of Assam, Lavani of Maharashtra, or Thang Ta of Manipur, and taste typical regional food items. It will also see the lighting of Laxmi Diya created by artisans of South India and considered as one of the world’s largest lamps. One of the Lakshmi diya is currently in USA, another in a temple in South India and the one at Neptune mall is the third only of its kind creation which has been specially lent by its collector Ved Pohoja for the carnival.

Sharing details about the carnival, Surjit Singh Rajpurohit, CEO, Neptune Magnet Mall, said: “Many of us travel to various holiday destinations across the country. But it is practically not feasible for all of us to reach out to every corner of our great country, and know the various cultures, traditions, art or cuisine. At Neptune we value our Indian tradition, and it is the primary reason why we thought of bringing together ‘India’ under one roof for people to savour the rich diversity of our country.”

Magnet Mall endorses Moti Mahal, Mumbai Tawa, Mughal Darbaar, Paratha World, Cream Center, Shanghai Street in food category, Central, FBB, Global Desi in clothing, Soul Art for antiques, SatyaPaul for in accessories, Easy Day hypermarket, Reliance Digital Express in electronics, Saanvi Jewels for Jewellery section, amongst others.

Amazing India, which aims to bring the citizens closer through handicrafts, artwork, food, performing art such as music and dance, will be divided into Western, Eastern, Northern and Southern India, and each zone will be represented by various delegates for a period of 15 days at the mall. The carnival would conclude with Independence Day celebrations with participation from each of the zones and will have a grand end of season sale from 15th – 17th August.
