Walmart India has appointed Pooja Malik as the Vice President, Business Development. Malik was last associated with Carrefour as Development Director. She joined Carrefour in May 2008.
Commenting on the appointment, Malik said: “After being with Carrefour for around six years, I felt it’s time to move on. Walmart has aggressive expansion plans of opening 50 stores in next five years which is something challenging and I am looking forward to. In my current role, I will be responsible for finding the right store locations PAN India.”
An MBA in marketing from Guru Jambeshwar University, Malik has worked with Parsvnath Developers (around six months), and four years each at Wave and Oswal Group in the past.
