Budget Allows FDI in E-commerce: PwC

PwC official Sandeep Ladda has told a leading daily that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has allowed FDI in e-commerce, according to a leading daily.

The paper reports that Ladda further added that the announcement will encourage foreign players and also help generate employment in India. It will boost the sector and also benefit the consumers, government, e-commerce players, and retailers in general.

The foreign investment percentage permitted in e-commerce, however, is still not clear, the paper said.
