Safexpress establishes massive Logistics Park at Jammu

Safexpress, India’s largest supply chain & logistics firm, has recently launched its huge logistics park facilty at Jammu. Spanning over an area of 80,000 sq feet, this ultra-modern Logistics Park is strategically located on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway 1A.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Rubal Jain, Director-Corporate Strategy, Safexpress said, “Jammu is a key city in northern India. The city has a number of small industries. Jammu region has a large count of food-grain mills and its economy is predominantly dependent on agriculture and allied activities. The state has rich resources of Agro, Water, Forests, Herbal and Minerals, in addition to its unparalleled natural beauty. Agricultural exports from Jammu & Kashmir include apples, barley, cherries, corn, millet, oranges, rice, peaches, pears, saffron, sorghum, vegetables, and wheat, while manufactured exports include handicrafts, rugs, and shawls. Hence, there is a massive potential for investment in this belt. From the supply chain & logistics perspective, Jammu holds strategic importance due to its location, skilled manpower and favorable government policies. Safexpress, being a pioneer in providing value-added supply chain & logistics services, has developed a world-class Logistics Park at Jammu to contribute to the economic growth of this region.”
Jain further highlighted, “Supply chain & logistics has a very vital role to play in the growth of numerous industrial centers spread across the Jammu region. Keeping this in mind, Safexpress has developed an ultra-modern facility at Jammu, which will serve as a trans-shipment hub as well as a warehousing facility. Safexpress, with its Logistics Park at Jammu, will bridge the infrastructure gaps and serve the supply chain & logistics requirements of the entire region.”
Jain added, “We have made a significant investment to set up this ultra-modern logistics infrastructure. This will help the industries in Jammu belt in having access to our world-class supply chain & logistics services, which would contribute heavily in the economic growth of this region.”
Highlighting the USP of the Logistics Park at Jammu, Jain said, “Our Logistics Park at Jammu has a column-less span of over 100 feet and enables loading/unloading of over 26 vehicles simultaneously. The dedicated bays and docks at our Logistics Park in Jammu provide an uninterrupted and unidirectional flow of inbound and outbound goods. The Logistics Park has a floor load capacity of 6 metric tonnes per square meter and has a truck docking area width of over 40 feet. To provide safe & smooth movement of goods within the Logistics Park we have installed high-tech equipment. Moreover, to make our Logistics Park eco-friendly, we have taken special go-green initiatives by investing in rainwater harvesting and developing special green zones.”
Jain concluded by saying, “This Logistics Park will be operational 24×7, 365 days in a year to provide time-definite deliveries. Due to our non-stop operations, we will be providing the fastest transit time for deliveries all across India to over 610 destinations from Jammu.”
