Gurgaon-based mobile first hyperlocal grocery delivery service PepperTap plans to strengthen its pan-India presence by adding skilled manpower and reaching 10 more cities by the end of the year.
Started in November 2014, the company is targetting to cover the entire expanse of Delhi-NCR along with Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai in the next quarter and bringing in the top 10 cities of India in its orbit by the year end.
The company received a Series-A funding of USD 10 million from SAIF Partners and Sequoia Capital recently.
“We are utilising our Series-A funding to hire skilled resources and expand our operations across the major cities of the country,” said Navneet Singh, co-founder, PepperTap.
PepperTap currently has 100 employees and targets to become a 500-employee firm over the next three months, comprising a mix of new talent and seasoned experience.
“Widening our employee base will give a fillip to the company’s operations. It will help us realise our goal of strengthening our pan India presence in the face of rising number of customers for PepperTap’s hassle-free and timely services,” Singh added.
The hiring will be done across different verticals like Operations, Technology & Product, Analytics, Business Development and Marketing.
PepperTap takes 350+ orders per day on weekdays and 500+ orders per day on weekends.
