DLF Mall of India is all set to open in November this year

DLF, has formally announced the opening of the country’s first and the largest destination mall – DLF Mall of India at India Retail Forum 2015.
Sriram Khattar, CEO, Rental Business, DLF Ltd, along with Pushpa Bector, Senior Vice President & Head, DLF Mall of India unveiled the iconic mall and briefed about the multiple and unique offerings in DLF Mall of India at the event on September 15.
The game changing project, DLF Mall of India is going to open its doors for public with weeklong festivities in November 2015. The NCR based mall is the largest retail project from DLF Group and would add a retail space of about 2 million sq. ft. to the current of about 2.2 million sq. ft. portfolio.

DLF Mall of India which is also the country’s first ‘Zoned’ destination mall modeled after best in class international flagship properties and would offer an eclectic ensemble of retail offerings spread across five dedicated zones: Market Place, International Boulevard, The High Street, Family World and Leisure Land. DLF Mall of India is also going to be the first mall with largest food and entertainment destination. DLF Mall of India is all set to introduce unique and iconic dining, leisure and entertainment options for the first ever time in India. With this announcement, DLF Mall of India spearheads a new trend in the Indian mall industry by dedicating 40% of the leasable area to food and entertainment. The mall will see some unique and international quality first time fun rides and thus will change the way leisure and entertainment is perceived in India.

DLF Mall of India would add many firsts to its portfolio such as more than 450 retail units, coupled with the largest indoor entertainment zone spread over 2 levels – which would have 7 DT star screens, and the largest food court with about 1000 seats. Yet another first to the project would be the racetrack atrium for better visibility and access of the stores in the mall. Also, there are over 75 escalators and an express escalator to provide convenience and comfort while shopping.
DLF has associated with international project managers Turner and architect, Benoy to build DLF Mall of India with unique state of art architecture & designs showcasing international standards of environmental sustainability.For the same, DLF Mall of India has become the largest mall to be awarded with LEED Gold green building certification.  Not only this, the mall has also become the first Indian mall to be recognized at international MAPIC awards as the Retail Rising Star.
