Following on the heels of Flipkart’s announcement of the ‘Big Billion Days’ sale from October 13-17, Amazon has decided to take on the former with its ‘Great Indian Festive Sale’ on the same dates.
While Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale will be app-only, Amazon’s Great Indian Festive Sale deals will be available to consumers both on web and mobile. However, app customers will get a few privileges under Amazon Great Indian Festive Sale’s ‘pehle App’ initiative.
As mentioned on the Amazon Great Indian Festive Sale page, Amazon app users will get “15 minutes early access to top deals” as well as additional cash back on HDFC cards. In addition to that, app customers will get access to app-only Amazon Great Indian Festive Sale deals on October 16 and October 17.
Amazon is also promising app users a “sneak peek” of four different products (listed by third party sellers) of Amazon Great Indian Festive Sale deals before the sale starts on October 12.

Amazon wants it customers to prep for the sale by downloading the app in advance, signing-in for an Amazon India account and its newsletters, and have payment and delivery address details saved on the account.
