American Swan, an international fashion and lifestyle brand, is planning to increase its India headcount with an almost 30 to 40% increase in the next six months for major departments, including marketing, technology, merchandising, HR and finance.
The brand is aiming to achieve a gross merchandise value of INR 300 crore by mid-2016 and is looking at adding personnel at all levels right from the head to the executive, in all its verticals, the company said in an official release.
“To scale up our operations and capture a larger share of the market, we are looking to hire more people with the appropriate skill-set to take it a notch higher. We plan to add significant man force to the existing one by almost a 30 to 40% at almost all levels,” Sharad Thakur, chief business officer, American Swan said.
The company will focus on absorbing people from Premier B Schools and graduates of fashion institutes such as NIFT, Pearl Academy, etc. The strategy would be to tap and get the best resources through social media, references, job portals and consultants, the release stated.
