Menon who has over 25 years of cross cultural, general management, experience in multinationals across India, Middle East and Africa and brings extensive and diverse experience in the areas of FMCG, retail and manufacturing and telecom, said the company. Most recently, he was with Reliance Communications as national head wireless (GSM) operations.

He will be responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy, path to profitability, store operations, and more. As CEO of the company, we are confident that his rich experience and able leadership will help the company grow. Moreover, this change comes at an important time for HyperCITY as we continue on our path of profitable sustainable growth.”
Menon’s appointment comes after Vipin Bhandari quit HyperCITY in 2015. The big-box retail chain has been operating without a CEO for almost a quarter now.
Menon has become the third CEO at HyperCITY in the last 20-odd months, after Mark Ashman decided to move back to the UK as his contract with the retailer ended in June 2014 and then Bhandari decided to quit.
