Ritu Beri hosts Global Design session for Make in India

NEW DELHI: India’s eminent fashion designer Ritu Beri’s non-profit global foundation, The Luxury League (TLL) hosted the ‘Global design and innovation session’ for the Make in India week in Mumbai. It was an attempt to endorse and popularize Indian luxury, also initiate the concept of branding India globally and match strength with Incredible India, FDCI, Sanguine and Ministry of Textiles.
Ritu Beri – the founder of TLL said: “Our aim at The Luxury League is to be a rallying point for those who believe that strengthening commercial ties among nations is not only important for business, but good for global living standards and peace.”
TLL declared the session to be an attempt to create an appreciative and encouraging environment of Indian quality, skill and creativity amongst the world players. The idea is to create a global movement by bringing forth the outstanding skills from all sections of the industry.
The speakers at the event included corporate heads and members of the Indian bureaucracy and politics from India and abroad like minister of commerce Nirmala Sitharaman, minister of power Piyush Goyal, Amitabh Kant, Francis Kurkdjian, Chantal Thomass, Patrick Thomas, NK Singh, Shashi Tharoor, actress Vidya Balan, Malavika Sanghvi, Suhel Seth, and Manish Arora.
Delegates also included senior sector executives, corporate decision-makers and financiers from around the world including chairmen, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CMOs, presidents and managing directors from fashion, retail, jewellery, motor, property, shopping malls, luxury hotels and private banking amongst others.
