Counted among the oldest vehicles of Maruti, Omni has surprised its users by making it to the top 10 list of vehicles as per the selling record of February 2016.
According to the data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers or SIAM, only two out of the eight models which were on roads in the same month of 2015 have posted a y-o-y growth. Omni has shown the fastest growth among them: as quoted by E-paper livemint in saying.
Other vehicles manufactured by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd have grabbed five of the top 10 positions and has thrown an open challenge to Hyundai Motor India Ltd.
Maruti has taken advantage of the size and space of Omni and sold the vehicle for cargo and ambulance.The mini van priced between Rs 2.35 lakh – Rs 2.91 lakh approx. is an affordable vehicle for large families as well as small scale entrepreneur.
In future, hopefully the company will succeed in upgrading Omni to the emission and safety standards which will show an effect in 2017 and 2020 respectively.
