IPL team Mumbai Indians, owned by Reliance Industries, has collaborated with fashion brand Diesel to promote a limited edition collection. This is the first ever association of the fashion brand with the cricket.
Diesel will be launching the first collection later this year and a second release is due for spring 2017. The limited edition collection will be sold globally in all major cricket markets.
In a media release, Nita Ambani of Mumbai Indians said this collaboration with Diesel is a mark of truly global recognition for the brand Mumbai Indians. “It’s a momentous step for Mumbai Indians to be recognized as the most preferred global brand partner, becoming the first sports club from India to expand its footprint globally,” she said.
Diesel will be producing an exclusive line of merchandise comprising both top and bottom-wear. The collection will be available globally across popular cricket playing nations like Australia, England, South Africa among others through the Diesel footprint. In India, all the 11 stores of Diesel will stock the exclusive collection.
