Ola Money, the digital payment solution from transport aggregator Ola, has announced that its partnership with leading online marketplaces eBay, YepMe and AskmeBazaar, will allow customers to pay with one touch from their Ola Money wallet.
The company is looking to take on entities such as Paytm, which has a little over 120 million users and is currently the largest digital wallet provider in the country, and Freecharge, owned by e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal.
Ola has already signed up several online vendors such as Cleartrip, Stayglad, Healthkart and Doormint. And, partnered with local authorities to enable payments on the Mumbai Metro Rail and operations of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation.
Customers will also be eligible for an additional 10 per cent discount (valid till June 21) when they use Ola Money on eBay, the company said in a statement.
At the time of payment on any of these platforms, both web and app, customers will get to choose Ola Money as one of their payment options. On selection, a one touch check-out, if on the app, and a simple OTP authentication, if on the web, completes the payment.
The Ola Money app can also be used for pre-paid mobile recharge across all operators in India and for sending money to family and friends.
The Ola Money app is already being used for mobile recharges, peer to peer transfers, ticketing and more across a wide range of online and offline merchants.
