As monsoon spreading out well and other economic indicators are looking good, Sony India is expecting 30 per cent year-on-year increase in its sales in the current fiscal.

” The first six months have been good. India is currently our fourth biggest market after Japan, the US and China. We are hopeful of getting to the top three,” Managing Director, Sony India, Kenichiro Hibi, was quoted as saying during the promotional offers launch, in Kochi, ahead of the Onam season.
According to Hibi, bulk of the sales happens during the festival season which starts from Onam in Kerala and runs through pooja, Diwali to Pongal. In Kerala, the company is targeting Rs 160 crore during July to September period which is nearly 30 per cent increase from a year ago.
The company sales grew at 38 per cent during April-May, which is more than the industry growth rate, sales head of the company Satish Padmanabhan, was quoted as saying.
