Snapdeal appoints Mayank Jain as head supply chain

Snapdeal on Thursday announced that Vice President SCM (Supply Chain Management), Mayank Jain, will lead the Supply Chain function at the company. In his new role, Jain will spearhead the complete operations and supply chain function at Snapdeal.
He assumes the role from Senior Vice President Operations, Ashish Chitravanshi, who has been associated with Snapdeal since 2014 and is now moving out to pursue other interests.
As President SCM, Jain was responsible for building the entire gamut of supply chain and logistics services, while driving operational efficiencies.
Congratulating Mayank on his new role, Chief Customer Experience Office, Snapdeal, Jayant Sood, said, “Over the last few years of his tenure at Snapdeal, Mayank has played a pivotal role in building seller services and strengthening logistics functions at Snapdeal. We are confident that in his new role, he will bring a sharper focus to enhancing delivery experiences, as we target 20 million daily transacting users on our platform by 2020. We thank Ashish for his role in guiding our operations function to industry-best standards and wish him well for his future endeavors.”
Mayank Jain had joined Snapdeal in March 2013 as Assistant Vice-President and Head of Seller services. He previously worked with firms like ITC, Urban Touch and Fashion & You.

Jain is a seasoned industry professional with prior stints at ITC, Urban Touch Fashion and You and an entrepreneurial journey as well. He holds a Bachelors and Masters degree from IIT Kanpur.
