Sumitro Ghosh is the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Starbucks Private Ltd, the 50/50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Limited.
In this role, Ghosh provides overall strategic directions and leadership to the joint venture in India.
Ghosh was appointed as the CEO at Tata Starbucks in January, 2016. He has worked with Starbucks for over 8 years, which helped him deliver the mission and values for the largest coffee chain in the world.
In the course of his tenure, he primarily operated as a Regional Vice President where he was responsible for almost 600 stores and US$ 800 million in annual sales.
In his current role as the CEO, he is leading the brand and its vision for growth in India. He has also has held positions in general management, operations and real estate development with major companies like Yum Brands and ARAMARK.
Ghosh holds a credential in advertising from the Michigan State University.
