Mumbai: Compaq, a smart technology brand, has entered the wearable technology segment with its smartwatch QWatch. The smartwatches by Compaq will be exclusively available on Amazon, from 14 January.
“Viewing the huge market acceptance of our smart televisions, we are certain that our all-new smartwatches will also gain similar popularity among Indian consumers,” said Amitabh Tiwari, chief executive officer, Ossify Industries Pvt Ltd.
Ossify Industries entered an agreement with HP in 2018 to use the Compaq brand name for the manufacturing and distribution of Smart TVs.
The QWatch range of Compaq smartwatches comes in three series – X-Breed, Dimension, and Balance. The smartwatches have features like Bluetooth calling, a metal body, 100+ watch faces, wireless charging options and voice assistance. The watches also offer health-oriented features like blood oxygen measuring, static/dynamic heart rate monitoring, blood pressure measuring, sleep monitoring, and 120+ Sports modes.
Founded in 1982, Compaq is an American IT company dealing in computers and related products. In 2001, it was acquired by Dell, and later by HP in 2002 for $25 Billion. It offers a variety of products including Smart TVs, PCs and Tablets.
