Bengaluru: Stella Moto, a micro-mobility start-up based in Bengaluru, has announced its plans to expand its retail footprint in the country to capitalize on the electric scooter boom, a press release said on Wednesday.  The company will focus on scaling up operations in tier 1 in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Delhi while aggressively expanding its presence in micro Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.
“Stella Moto’s network presence is strategically expanding, which is a testimony to the encouraging response received from our customers and dealer partners. An increasing network presence will help us address demand across segments and strengthen customers’ trust in our brand,” said Nakul Jaidka, chief executive officer of Stella Moto.
The company aims to expand its dealership network and plans to target sub-dealers apart from the primary dealers while expanding its footprints.
Stella Moto has simplified the application process and taken the entire procedure online. It has also launched a partner program that will provide training, certifications, and marketing to its business partners, helping them set up a successful electric scooter business.
Owned by Jaidka Group, Stella Moto was founded in 2021. The brand’s first electric scooter brand was named Buzz. The Company will further launch its delivery two-wheeler model shortly in the coming months, targeted to redefine the delivery space.
Jaidka Group has two manufacturing units at Howrah, West Bengal, and Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with manufacturing capabilities of 20,000 vehicles per annum. It aims to expand its manufacturing set-up further to 100,000 units and achieve 100% localization by 2024.
