Sellers using the Kiko app will now have the opportunity to discover and receive orders from a big pool of potential customers through the ONDC Network
New Delhi: Software as a service (Saas) solution for neighbourhood stores Kiko Live has gone live on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) network as a seller network participant, a release by the company said on Wednesday.
The Kiko app solution was originally designed to empower local retailers across categories to manage their delivery orders via phone, WhatsApp etc. With ONDC, Kiko aims to tap into a broader customer base nationwide, providing an expanded array of choices for buyers on the network, the release added.
Sellers using the Kiko app will now have the opportunity to discover and receive orders from a big pool of potential customers through the ONDC Network.
“We are delighted to witness Kiko’s remarkable growth on ONDC. We strive to create a transparent e-commerce ecosystem with equal opportunities for all and Kiko’s success adds to the vibrancy and success of our Network. With our extensive Network, Kiko stands to solidify its reach and penetration to a bigger market,” said T Koshy, chief executive officer, ONDC.
“We’re gradually onboarding our list of retailers onto ONDC Network due to the overwhelming surge in orders experienced by them. Some sellers are already receiving 20-25 orders daily without running promotions,” said Alok Chawla, Founder, Kiko.
“Orders are growing at over 100% week on week, leading us to scale our operations and support teams too. Our sellers maintain a near 100% fill rate and successful delivery rate, a trend we aim to sustain during our expansion,” Chawla added.
Incorporated on 31st December 2021, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), a Section 8 company, is an initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India to create a facilitative model that revolutionizes digital commerce, giving greater thrust to penetration of retail e-commerce in India.
