Bengaluru: Eyewear retail chain Lenskart has opened its second flagship store in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, that comes close on the heels of the Gurugram-based company’s debut store in the Saudi Kingdom a week ago.
The new outlet is situated at Salaam Mall, Alawali, a company official announced on social media on Friday.
“Thrilled to announce the grand opening of our second store in Riyadh at Salaam Mall!,” said Mahmoud Elfeky, associate vice president retail, Lenskart in a LinkedIn post while sharing images of the new store.
“This marks a proud moment as we expand our commitment to serving our valued Saudi customers. A big thanks to everyone who has been part of this success,” he added.
Built in 2005, Salaam Mall also houses fashion and lifestyle brands such as Zara, Scarf, The Body Shop, Al Samah, Astani, Yves Rocher and Ornage among others
Lenskart made its entry into the Middle East market in 2021 by launching its store in Dubai, UAE, pledging an investment of around $50 million for the company’s growth and expansion in the UAE market.
Founded in the year 2010 by Peyush Bansal along with co-founders Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi, Lenskart has over 1,100 stores across cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai and other 1,100 cities across India as per the company’s official website.
It boasts over 6,000 styles of eyewear, 50 lakh customers and 10 million app downloads as of April 2023.
