Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), India’s largest fast moving consumer goods company is all geared up to launch its first beauty salon for men next week. This initiative is a part of HUL’s plan to increase its focus on service experience outlets. It’s salon for men will operate under the ‘Ivana’ brand and the first saloon is likely to be launched in New Delhi, according to sources.
The company’s entry into men’s beauty salon space will pitch HUL in direct competition with Marico’s Kaya Skin Clinic, L’Oreal salons and K Raheja promoted Enrich salons. The men’s beauty services segment is worth Rs 2,000 crore in India. The company already operates Lakme salons for women from which it earns Rs 120 crore annually.
