US-based Natural Products Association (NPA) has certified the first home care ingredient for DuPont Tate and Lyle Bioproducts. Zemea propanediol, a natural solvent, is now the first-ever home care ingredient to be certified as natural under NPA’s Natural Home Care Standard and Certification program. Under this program, certified ingredients have to be 100 percent natural, raw materials have to be sourced from a renewable resource with no petroleum compounds and processed within the NPA’s list of allowed processes.
