The first Westside franchise store has been launched in Mysore. Trent Limited, which owns the Westside brand, is a part of Tata group. Trent, at present has over 27 stores through out India. Typically such stores are spread between 15,000 and 30,000 sq. ft. of space. It is believed to be the largest and the fastest growing retail chains in the country.
Tata group has two retailing arm, one operates in consumer durables and second operates in lifestyle, books and music and hypermarkets. Trent has plans in place to roll out 11 new stores in different Metros and tier II cities this year.
