Confirming the new development, a spokesperson at Madura Garments told Indiaretailing: “The company is not looking to bring a successor to the post. Ashish Dikshit, who joined the company recently, is already designated as the president, and will be asked to take care of the special projects as well as the fashion brands business, which Javeri was handling. Dikshit will report to Vikram Rao, the group’s executive president.”

When contacted, Javeri said that prior to the decision to step down, certain internal options were being worked out at Madura. However, nothing came to fruition. Javeri also assured that he would soon confirm about his next assignment.
