Malabar Gold, the flagship division of the Rs 5 billion Malabar Group, will open its first Tamil Nadu store soon.
According to a highly placed source in the company, the store, to be spread over an area of 7,000 square feet, will house a wide range of jewellery collection including traditional and designer ornaments, party and work wear, diamond jewellery and timewear.
“On domestic expansion, some more stores are on the cards for locations including Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai in Tamil Nadu and some select locations in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh,” added the source. “We are also planning to open stores at Al-Ain and Burj Dubai as part of our overseas expansion plan.”
