Having seen Indian consumers’ appetite for good food, UK’s fast food chain Southern Fried Chicken (SFC) is planning to mark its presence in the country, according to a top company official. “We are in advanced talks to enter India, a potential market for us to grow,” said Andrew Withers, managing director, SFC.

Further, the company is planning to open about 200-odd stores across India in January and is looking for a local partner for its franchise operation, said Withers.

SFC currently operates across 68 countries globally through its 900 plus outlets.
