In an effort to boost pan-India presence, Bengaluru-based fast food chain East West Ethnic Foods, owner of fast food chain Kaati Zone, plans to open 10 stores by the March 2009. Further, the company has also tied up with Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) to open outlets at latter’s petrol pump outlets, told a company official.
“The company has over 15 outlets in Bengaluru and now is planning to take this to 25 stores by the fiscal end, as it enters into new cities like Pune and Hyderabad,” said Kiran Nandkarni, founder, East West Ethnic Foods.
“We are also looking at setting up stores at petroleum stations, airports, office complexes as well as on high streets,” added Nandakarni.
East West Ethnic Foods also plans to raise USD 3 million in next year. “The company is in discussion with venture capitalist to raise funds.” concluded Nandkarni.
