Geetanjali Gems, the jewellery retail arm of Mumbai-based Geetanjali Group, has signed a 50:50 JV with Kuwait-based Hassan’s Optician, according to a statement by Gitanjali Group to Bombay Stock Exchange.
According to the BSE filing, the formed alliance will permit Geetanjali Gems to purchase and sell Hassan’s eye accessories in its outlets.
Gitanjali Gems is a DTC sight holder and the leading brands under its patronage include D’Damas, Sangini, Gili and Asmi among others. Gitanjali Group is also building two SEZs in India.
