After a period of long wait, the UK-based fast food company Dixy Chicken is all set to open its outlet in India. The Panban Group of companies will unveil its first two outlets in Mumbai. Speaking in an exclusive interview, Rajat Pandhi, president, Panban group of companies said, “We are launching our first two outlets in India. The stores are scheduled to open in Mumbai.”

“One of the outlets is to open in 7 Bunglow in Mumbai, while the other one is to be launched in Lokhandwala.” Pandhi further informed that the store opening at the plush 7 Bunglow measures around 600 square feet, while that in Lokhandwala is of around 1,500 square feet size.

The outlets, in keeping with Panban’s business strategy, are franchisee owned restaurants and the stores would be formally launched on the 15th of May, 2009.

Pandhi states that Dixy Chicken has a superior quality proposition and all the ingredients used are going to be imported from the UK. Speaking on the business plans for the year 2009, Pandhi stated, “We are looking to open 15 outlets in the year 2009. However, we are still on the look out for appropriate locations. But our preference would be high streets for the upcoming outlets.”
