Must Read

BoConcept, an international home furnishing brand having a tagline ‘urban design’, launched its first 7,300 square feet store in India at Mumbai’s luxury mall – The Palladium. The brand has more than 246 retail outlets and 110 studios around the world. With the success of the first store in India, the home retail chain has plans of launching two more stores this year in the luxury malls of Delhi and Bangalore. Next year there will be four to five more outlets added and gradually the number of stores will multiply as BoConcept’s retail presence increases.

Explaining the reason as to why the brand chose to foray into India in 2010, Viggo Molholm, president and CEO, BoConcept said, “We feel that now the Indian market is ready for our kind of home furnishing. The consumers have grown fashion conscious in their outlook that is not just limited to their clothes but also extends to the home decor as an extension of the individual’s personality. Products from BoConcept have been well appreciated around the world and we hope to do well in India too. The designs and the styles will be truly international but we will have an option to customise some of the pieces of our furniture as per the requirement of the consumers here.”

The product portfolio includes wall mount units, cabinets, sofa sets, various kinds of chairs and tabels, night stands, bed and linen and the likes. As far as the speciality of BoConcept’s products are concerned, Molholm added “Our products are well co-ordinated in colours and designs and are positioned as affordable luxury targeted at the mid to premium segment. To give an idea, the sofa sets start from Rs 70, 000 and go upto Rs 8,00,000 and the chairs are priced around Rs 12,000 to Rs 40,000. We are also planning to introduce new colours and textures every season in order to add variety to our product offering.”
