Amritsar gets its first HyperCity

HyperCity Retail, one of India’s finest hypermarket chains, has recently launched its outlet in Amritsar, Punjab. The 1,00,000 sq.ft store has come up at the AlphaOne mall.
“This is our first store in Punjab. We are confident HyperCity will resonate with customers in Amritsar," said B S Nagesh, vice-chairman, HyperCity Retail.

The HyperCity outlet in Amritsar houses over 45,000 branded products in various categories, including fresh produce, food and grocery, homecare products, electronics and home appliances, homeware, furniture, apparel and accessories, lifestyle products and footwear.

Currently, there are six HyperCity outlets in India covering six lakh sq. ft of retail space.

The first HyperCity store opened in Mumbai in May 2006. HyperCity has an exclusive supply agreement with Waitrose, the UK supermarket chain, and an exclusive arrangement with Raleigh Cycles for India.
