India’s leading watch brand Titan has planned to open 35 ‘World of Titan’ stores in tier I, tier II and tier III cities in the current fiscal year. After Delhi and Mumbai, the company will also be adding more flagship stores in the top 10-12 cities in the country. Speaking about the launch of HTSE (High Tech Self Energized) collection, a new range of futuristic self energizing, light powered watches, Ajoy Chawla, vice president, Titan, said, “The company expects a growth in sales by 23-24 per cent this year.”
Saina Nehwal, India’s ace shuttler along with Ajoy Chawla unveiled the new range of HTSE watches that clearly targets the tech-savvy young men, within the age of 20-30 years. Titan has made an investment of around Rs. 4 crores on this collection.
B.V Nagaraj, head-innovation and design, Titan, said, “The technology behind HTSE was developed by our in-house designers. This brand has features like ‘Sleep Mode’ that increases the shelf life of the battery, ‘End of Life’ which indicates that the battery needs a recharge, ‘Over Charge Prevention’ that warns the person of the battery being over-charged.”
HTSE collection is available between the range of Rs. 6,495 to Rs. 10,995 in top 12 cities in the country. It will be available at all World of Titan showrooms, multi-brand outlets and departmental stores.
Titan that has 320 showrooms in about 140 cities and towns. The retailer plans to launch their new range of watches for women, Raga Weaves that has been inspired by the textile weaving industry in India using various fabrics and Raga Silver during the festive season of Diwali this year.
