Gemalto, France-based company engaged in providing digital security, has announced that it has equipped over 300 shopping malls worldwide with Dexxis Instant Issuance (DII) solution, enabling on-the-spot delivery of over one million credit cards per year in total. This instantaneous card delivery has enhanced retail globally as shoppers are using it with immediate effect and getting benefit from special bargains at the store, said a company press release.
Philippe Cambriel, executive vice-president — secure transaction business unit — Gemalto, said, “The initial motivation for consumers to make purchases often fades away by the time they receive their credit card by mail. Our latest hand-to-hand delivery with DII is well perceived by our consumers, giving an immediate benefit to the retailers.”
DII is part of the broader Gemalto Dexxis personalisation solution, which possesses almost 100 installations in 45 countries.
