Must Read

Japanese retailer Fashion Retailing Co. Ltd opened the first UNIQLO store in Taiwan at the Uni-President Hankyu Department Store in Taipei at 10:30 a.m. on October 7, 2010, as part of its global expansion efforts. The store is located on the first basement floor of the Uni-President complex in Sinyi District, one of the most prominent shopping areas in Taipei. This large-scale store features a traditional layout on its 1,450 sqm sales floor, in order to help customers quickly distinguish between the men’s and women’s sections, in addition to zoning based on specific seasonal concepts. The store also includes glass display cases to help express UNIQLO’s “now” concept.

Commemorative items and specially priced products are on offer to mark the opening of the UNIQLO Uni-President Hankyu Department Store location. Items will include a selection of 10 of the most popular T-shirt designs from UNIQLO’s UT T-shirt brand, all based on a Japanese pop-culture theme and produced in collaboration with Japanese artists. UNIQLO’s UJ jeans brand will figure prominently in the store launch, along with a range of cashmere sweaters and parkas. The store will also feature the critically acclaimed +J collection, which was produced in conjunction with German fashion designer Jil Sander.
