Ambuja Realty’s first mall in Central India to open in October 2012

Kolkata-based company, Ambuja Realty’s maiden retail project in central India will open for public in October 2012. City Centre, Raipur, a mixed use development comprising mall and office space has been built with an investment of Rs 175 crore. The mall has a total built up area of 4,80,000 sq.ft. and a gross leasable area of 3,80,000 sq.ft.

Commenting on the location of the mall, Pramod Dwivedi, Head – Marketing, Ambuja Realty, said: “Raipur is truly loaded with myriad opportunities as it is in a nascent stage of development of real estate and retail. The city embodies a tremendous economic potential with an annual growth of 20 percent and is shaping up as one of the most prominent industrial and commercial hubs of central India. In City Centre mall, we have tried to have a balanced mix of major anchors, national brands and local retailers which will lead to richer consumer experience.”

The mall will be maintained and operated by Quality Maintenance while Bangalore-based company, Building Control Solution India will look after the parking management. Both interior and exterior architecture along with landscaping have been taken care by Salient. Kone has provided the lifts and elevators.

Four-screen multiplex spread across 47,000 sq.ft. will be provided by Inox, while food court named Hangout will be taken care by the Ambuja Group. There will be both covered and open parking space in 1,00,000 sq.ft. area with a parking capacity of approx 650 four-wheelers and 100 two-wheelers. The mall will have nine escalators, four elevators and two entry and exit points.

There will be 7 floors in the mall with 200 stores signed by brands such as Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Planet Sports, Nike, UCB, Manyawar, W, Biba, Peter England, Gini & Jony, Hoffmen, Turtle and Infinity.

“We will adopt both pure rental and minimum guarantee and revenue sharing model for leasing along with outright sale to the end users,” Dwivedi further added.

City Centre, Raipur, like all other City Centre malls, will also house ‘Kund’, an Indian version of amphitheatre used as an open-air venue for entertainment and performances.
