GAP to enter India, with store opening at Select CITYWALK

Must Read

American fashion retailer GAP is set to enter India with its first store at Select CITYWALK, New Delhi. The retailer will launch the store by the end of May.
The California-based apparel retailer has partnered with Arvind Lifestyle Brands, a subsidiary of Arvind Group, which is one of the world’s largest denim producers, and a long-time supplier to GAP. The move to India is part of GAP’s strategy to expand to  emerging markets.
Just like many international brands, GAP has also chosen Select CITYWALK to be its gateway to foray into the country. In the past, global burger chain Burger King also entered India through Select CITYWALK. Swedish fast fashion chain H&M is also scheduled to open its debut Indian store at the mall.
Select CITYWALK was recently awarded the trophy for the ‘IMAGES Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Metros-North’ at the IMAGES Shopping Centre Awards earlier this month.
