In order to raise the bar for consumers’ safety and convenience, hyperlocal grocery deliver startup PepperTap has launched two new features — Number Disguising and Order Modification — on its mobile app.
With the Number Disguising feature, the company ensures that phone numbers of its end customers remain undisclosed to its delivery boys. Under this feature, all customer calls will be routed through the company’s server. Delivery boys will get a click to call option on their mobile device and instead of the customer’s number, they will only be able to see a standard call centre number.
Peppertap has tied up with Exotel, a leading cloud telephony company to bring out this feature.
With the Order Modification feature, customers will be able to change their current order i.e. add more products or remove them from the list, while it is in the order receipt stage.
“The number disguising feature will offer enhanced privacy by eliminating the risk of their mobile numbers getting leaked. The other feature is also of immense benefit to our users as they will now be able to make changes in their current orders easily. Through these newly enabled features, we strive to provide a world class experience to all our customers who transact regularly through our mobile application,” Navneet Singh, CEO & Co-founder, PepperTap, said in an official statement.
The company recently raised Series B round of funding in tune of USD36 million led by Snapdeal along with existing investors Sequoia India and SAIF Partners. The company is also in advance talks to expand this round by another USD 20 million from other financial investors. This second close is expected to happen in the next few weeks.
